Boredom-bred-authenticity.

Our brand was born because we were bored.

We decided that we were tired of all the cookie-cutter creative agencies out there singing the same old song-and-dance about their brands, claiming that they’re different. This word seemed to crop up so much that eventually, creative agencies all began to look like copy-and-paste versions of one another, only with different logos. Too many agencies are quick to exclaim that they’re ‘different’ but in doing so, become the very antithesis of the word. Confusing, right? We think so.

For example, how many times have you heard this kind of intro:

“We build brands and create change through creativity” or “We believe in the power of purpose to scale and transform brands from the inside out”.

blah, blah, blah, we get it.

How come ‘creative agencies’ can’t think of anything more creative than this? Real humans don’t talk like this, so why should we? Creative agencies don’t have to be pretentious, money-hungry machines. They can in-fact, be authentic, genuine and driven by a love for craft over consumption. What’s wrong with being ourselves? When did it become a crime to show your human side? People want to be spoken to like humans and not constantly have pretentious sales pitches shoved down their throats. We aren’t salesmen and we’re not here to talk at you. We aren’t 9-5 office dwellers, drones or slaves to the grind. We’re authentic and we make no bones about it. We dance over the line that other creative agencies toe.

We’re creative humans, not robots.

At the very core, we’re all just humans. We have senses, feelings, fingerprints and hearts. We have emotions, thoughts, ideas and a pulse. It’s part of our nature to explore, test the waters, and try out different paths to help find our direction. These underlying traits are the foundation on which the Right Turn philosophy is built. It’s this structure which has not only helped us hone our brand into something we truly preach, but also helped us to realise that we want to be as real and as genuine as possible with the people we work with. We aim to wade the murky waters of the bland and boring in pursuit of something a bit more real and genuine.

Nobody’s business should be bland and boring. This vision tends to make us real humans shudder a little. Business shouldn’t be run by robots, they should be run by people. People who have dedicated their time to working towards something that they truly care about. People who wear their heart on their sleeve and feel it beating in their chest.
